Happy 50th Birthday!!

She's sure looking good for 50, isn't she!! The above picture is from her birthday brunch with her sister, daughters, husband, and aunt Marilynn!Thursday, May 15, Karen celebrated her 50th birthday (against her wishes.) She wanted to pretend it wasn't her birthday, but we wouldn't allow it! We had a big family barbeque with several family members here from out of town. Krystal, Allie, and Kyla even surprised her and showed up. (Their family just moved to Springville from Florida.)
We decorated the house, notice the pictures of her when she was younger... And she got tons of wonderful gifts from friends and family.
Kalia (Heather's baby, 8 months) loved the dirt,

but Kyla (Krystal's baby, 11 months) found the real good stuff! She loved the cake.
And Allie tuckered out on Grandpa Dale's lap.

Happy Birthday Karen! We love you and are glad you are handling everything so well!

Karen,
I confess I was blog stalking and stumbled onto your blog. I am even more in awe of you than before. You are such a wonderful, strong woman! I will keep you in my prayers. Send my love to your family and tell Krystal to give me a holler.
Love

Happy Birthday. I know you said it was coming up but I didn't know when. I hope you had a wonderful birthday! This treatment was by far worse for me then the others. I am now on Antibiotics because I was running a fever yesterday of 102 degrees. I felt rotten but I think it is because I have a sinus infection.
I liked the picture of us on your blog. (I especially liked the throw-up bowl on my lap....it added a special touch.)
I have to take my son to the doctor on monday. I would love to have her come over and paint my toenails, but I also had a friend give me a pedicure last Wednesday so I might want to hold off for a little bit. Her's is still pretty fresh. Tell Holly Thank you though. I appreciate the offer. Maybe another time?
Hey, if you ever want to email me, my address is: paigeallred@yahoo.com
Thanks for all you do. You are incredible and inspiring!

Karen, I know that you don't know me but I want you to know how courageous you are to me! I see your blog and these pictures and I read about your battle and I am just in awe of you. I know that I love your daughter to peices but I feel like I would love you too if we knew eachother. I really do believe you are going to beat this. I love being able to see your strength and hear all about the miracles that have happened. I always call Kalia my "scrappy little girl" and now I know she must get her scrappiness from her Grandma!!! Keep fighting and I'll keep praying! :) Oh and Happy Birthday! They say that 50 is the new 40 and I think you look like the poster child for that saying!
